Here are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. At Golden West Tattoo, we strive to address all client requests and concerns. If you have a question that you can't find the answer to on our website, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via email.
How long does a tattoo take to heal?
Usually we say 10-14 days. But depending on many factors e.g: different people’s skin, and placement of the tattoo there may be some additional healing time and could be 3-4 weeks until it’s fully healed.

Do you take "walk ins"?
Sorry, we do not take walk in appointments. Golden West is a private studio and all bookings are by scheduled appointment only.
Our artists work their own hours and schedules and pre-book all their appointments, sometimes weeks to months ahead of time. If you are looking for a spontaneous tattoo it is best to keep an eye on the Artists personal social media profiles for last minute availabilities or submit a Booking Enquiry with your preferred date and we can try our best to accommodate you.
What is a "Guest Artist"?
A Guest Artist is a Professional Tattoo Artist who creates artwork outside of their regular tattoo studio. This person is invited to work and visit at another studio for a certain period of time. This could be from as short as 1-2 days or up to a few weeks.
Usually a guest artist is from another area, state or country.
At Golden West we are lucky to have a lot of industry friends Australia Wide and internationally, who will visit for a short period of time and bring their incredible art and unique tattoo style to Camden.
Please keep an eye on our store social media pages for all Guest Artist announcements. This way you can keep up to date with our current guest spots and not miss the opportunity to be tattooed while they are in town.
Do you do "cover up" tattoos?
Yes! We do coverups. We offer free consultations in person to discuss your tattoo ideas and what is achievable for your tattoo. Please feel free to fill out a Booking Enquiry form so we can help you further.
If we are unable to help you with your request in anyway, we have a large network of artists all over NSW and will recommend someone that may be more suitable for the vision you are picturing. Alternatively we can also recommend Laser Tattoo Removal Specialists if you did want to consider lightening the existing piece.
